A powerful advocate...the book will contribute enormously to our cause globally.
Former Chief Economist, World Bank
An important book with a deeply moving personal story on one of the big challenges of our time—pollution and the environment—by (I am proud add) a one-time student of mine, Jyoti Pande Lavakare.
A compelling first person account of the campaign to bring India’s air pollution crisis to the forefront of the country’s policy priorities. Packed with information, this well-written book also bears witness to the appalling personal losses caused by the subcontinent’s poisoned air.
Jyoti Pande Lavakare is a journalist, author and clean air evangelist who has lived and worked in Britain, the United States and India.
As a financial journalist, Jyoti wrote for and worked with publications such as Dow Jones Newswires, The Asian Wall St Journal, The Financial Times, The Independent, the New York Times' India Ink blog, The Economic Times, Business Standard and Mint.
